The petrol-powered auger is designed to mechanise the process of digging holes in the ground and significantly reduce the effort required compared with manual labour. It is particularly suitable for preparing sites for planting shrubs or trees, for setting out stakes and posts, and for digging holes for fences and various outdoor projects.

Its 51.7 cm³ single-cylinder two-stroke engine drives the auger directly, allowing it to operate independently of any mains power supply. The fuel tank has a capacity of 0.9 litres and runs on a mixture of unleaded petrol and two-stroke engine oil in a ratio of 40:1. The machine is started using a manual recoil starter.

The machine is supplied with two 80 cm-long augers, with diameters of 100 mm and 200 mm respectively. This dual configuration allows you to choose the hole diameter according to the application: the 100 mm auger is particularly suitable for small-diameter holes, whilst the 200 mm auger allows you to create wider holes for planting or certain posts.

Each drill bit features a pointed tip designed to aid initial penetration into the ground. Two blades at the base help to scrape away the soil as the bit rotates. The helical shape of the drill bit then helps to remove the soil from the hole as drilling progresses.

For jobs requiring greater depth, a 60 cm extension is also supplied. When used with an 80 cm auger, this allows for a total length of up to 140 cm.

The auger also features a spring-loaded torsion damper, to be fitted between the motor unit and the drilling tool. This absorbs some of the impact and reduces the transmission of vibrations and jolts to the user. This feature is particularly useful when the auger bit encounters a harder area or becomes stuck in the ground.

The engine unit is flanked by large side handles, allowing the auger to be held with both hands and providing better control over its positioning. The right-hand handle houses the throttle trigger and the stop button, keeping the main controls within easy reach during use.

With its two drill bit diameters, extension and shock-absorption system, this petrol-powered auger is a comprehensive piece of kit for drilling a series of holes in the garden or on a plot of land, without having to carry out all the earthworks manually. The 100 mm diameter is handy for stakes and small holes, whilst the 200 mm auger is better suited to planting or larger-diameter holes. The 60 cm extension offers real versatility when you need to work at greater depths. Another useful feature on the machine is the spring-loaded torsion damper, which reduces the jolts felt in the handles when the ground offers greater resistance. To work safely, it is important to hold the machine firmly with both hands and to remain particularly vigilant in stony or root-filled soil, or where the auger is likely to become suddenly jammed.
