The cable-pulling needle on a reel is an essential tool for guiding and pulling electrical cables through conduits and ducts. Thanks to its 8 mm diameter fibreglass core, it offers excellent rigidity and high strength, making it ideal for both renovation work and new installations. It is mounted on a reel with a brake and two large wheels for easy manoeuvring.
The wire-pulling needle on a reel has been specially designed to simplify cabling operations in large-diameter conduits and service ducts. Its fibreglass construction allows it to pass easily through difficult sections whilst maintaining excellent mechanical strength.
In particular, it allows you to:
easily guide large-diameter conduits such as: TPC conduits for high or low voltage, or conduits for domestic power supply or fibre optics.
pull cables through buried external conduits, for domestic power supply, fibre optics between the house and the street, lighting and external networks.
With a diameter of 8 mm, it is ideally suited to intensive work requiring high pulling force and precise guidance. The 8 mm diameter cable puller is generally used for conduits with a minimum diameter of 40 mm, with no maximum diameter limit.
Its 140-metre length allows for efficient work on extensive installations such as domestic power supplies, buried outdoor networks, or the routing of fibre optic cables between the street and the property. Furthermore, it is marked at one-metre intervals for precise length tracking.
The wire-pulling needle is mounted on a painted steel reel, which is fitted with a brake handle to easily adjust the unwinding speed. The reel also features a large handle and two large ball-bearing wheels that facilitate movement even on uneven ground.
An accessory kit is included in a storage pouch: a shackle fitted with a cylinder head screw for optimal fastening strength, a flexible elbow-passing rod to facilitate passage through complex areas such as tight corners, a roller to reduce friction in conduits, and a rotating-head eyelet tip to facilitate the passage of wires.
DIYer’s review
This electrician’s cable puller on a reel is easy to unwind and wind up. The large wheels make it much easier to move around. It is ideal for pulling electrical wires and checking the passage through conduits. Its 8 mm diameter allows for efficient work in buried conduits and large-diameter service ducts.
