The petrol-powered garden shredder is designed to efficiently reduce your garden waste. Thanks to its powerful 7 hp 4-stroke engine and its ability to shred branches up to 65 mm in diameter, it quickly turns branches, non-dry hardwood and garden waste into mulch that can be used for composting or mulching.
The petrol-powered garden shredder is fitted with a powerful 212 cc DH212 4-stroke engine; the engine’s high rotational speed of 3,600 rpm ensures rapid and consistent shredding, significantly reducing the volume of waste.
It can quickly shred a wide variety of garden waste, including thick branches and non-dry hardwood up to 65 mm in diameter.
The rubber pads on the engine housing reduce vibrations to improve comfort during long periods of use.
The plant material is fed into the shredder’s large hopper, which features a moving blade and a fixed counter-blade. Thanks to its automatic suction system, shredding takes place autonomously, whilst ensuring safe operation.
The hopper is hinged for easy opening by unscrewing the two screws. This allows for quick access in the event of a blockage and makes cleaning easy.
Once shredded, the branches and plant waste are discharged through a chute that can be directed upwards or downwards. This design makes it easy to collect the material in a wheelbarrow, trailer or bag placed beneath the outlet. The resulting wood chips can then be used for composting or mulching plants, thereby contributing to the natural maintenance of the garden.
The shredder is fitted with large-diameter (30 cm) pneumatic tyres with studs, ensuring excellent stability and making it easy to move across all types of terrain (including difficult and uneven ground).
They feature a safety pin that slots into the rim axle; this locking system secures the machine perfectly during use, ensuring it remains firmly in place.
The large handle on the hopper allows the machine to be pushed and moved with ease.
The shredder is fitted with a large 3.6-litre fuel tank and runs on SP95 petrol. Its manual recoil starter is quick and easy to use.
For the engine, it is recommended to use SAE 30 four-stroke oil during mild seasons such as spring and summer. If using the machine in colder weather, opt for 10W-30 or 5W-30 oil.
Oil is not supplied; fill the tank with approximately 0.6 litres when starting the machine for the first time. We recommend topping up the oil level to the brim of the filler cap. The engine is fitted with a safety feature that prevents it from starting if the oil level is low.
When starting the engine cold, set the choke lever to the RUN position. Then let the engine run at half throttle for a few minutes to allow it to warm up gradually. Once the engine is warm, push the throttle lever to maximum speed.
To ensure safe operation, the petrol shredder is fitted with an emergency stop system (large push button) located at the bottom, on the hopper side.
Assembly of the machine is quick and straightforward: only a few screws need to be tightened before use.
Gardener’s review:
This petrol-powered garden shredder is perfectly suited to shredding plant matter such as branches, bushes or any other bulky green waste requiring on-site processing. Thanks to its powerful engine and high torque, it can efficiently handle large-diameter branches. Fast and high-performing, it is equally suitable for demanding private users and professionals in landscaping and green space maintenance. In terms of maintenance, it is simple to look after: an annual oil change and cleaning of the air filter are generally sufficient.
